This is a legitimate call. While waiting to speak with someone, I logged into my account and was ready to verify my recent transactions. The caller identified herself by name and explained why they were calling. (I hadn't received one of these calls in several years.) The caller identified transactions that I was able to verify as valid. As someone else explained, one of the merchants has apparently had their online accounting data compromised and my card/account number was probably stolen.
