CLAIMS TO BE FROM ''CANCER FOUNDATION '' FROM WARREN, MICHIGAN
I believe it is the Macomb County Sheriff's Dept. I received a call from that at 11:53 p.m. on Saturday night. I missed the call. The Sheriff's showed up at my door approximately 15 minutes later. Somebody out there has hacked into my cell and is calling a crisis center in Boston.
My husband got a call on his cell from this number at 10:30 pm on a Saturday night. They knew his name. They claimed to be Macomb county sheriff's office and asked if he called 911. No, he didn't. I think this is either a misdial or scam attempt in the making.
Same as above. Called my work number. I'm not on Craigslist.
Unknown called claimed to know me and my boyfriend. He even knew my name and told me what my boyfriends name was. He kept asking me if he was behaving and had something extremely important to tell me. When i kept asking who he was and how he knew me he said he does not deal with little girls and hung up.

This number has called us a few times a week for 3+ years. No one is ever on the phone - it's just dead silence. We don't pick up the phone anymore unless the ringtone is different which tells us we know the caller as their number is stored in the phone's actual phonebook. (It's a Panasonic model.) Everyone else calling us hears our very, very lengthy outgoing message starting with We are not taking calls right now....
